How to Stop Premature Ejaculation Permanently

In this article, I am going to reveal some tips I found in the Method that helped me stop premature ejaculation for good.

I know what you must be going through right now. I know how this issue can ruin your relationship with your partner by not being able to give her the pleasure she seeks from a man. I’ve been there, and that’s why I want to share these tips with you.

Premature ejaculation is one of the most common sexual dysfunctions that can ruin a man’s self-esteem, and even be the culprit for the depression some suffer from.

This problem arises when ejaculation occurs too soon. And as we’ll see, it can be due to issues with breathing, physiological problems in the pelvic floor, or simply not being able to withstand arousal during intercourse.

Let’s get started…

Eliminate harmful habits to stop premature ejaculation

If you’re wondering how to last longer in bed, the first thing you need to know is that it’s important to find the root cause of the problem you’re experiencing.

The fact is, premature ejaculation probably hasn’t appeared like magic in your life. There are likely good reasons that explain what is happening to you.

Ruling out any physiological aspect should be your priority initially. To do this, you only need to visit the doctor, explain your problem, and undergo a genital examination.

Usually, on rare occasions, men suffer from premature ejaculation due to a problem of this nature, but it’s better to be cautious. Once you’ve done that, it’s time for introspection…

Analyze your masturbatory habits

I assure you that if you were to discover the number of cases in which men suffer from premature ejaculation due to poor masturbatory practices, you would be surprised.

In fact, most of the time, it occurs because, during adolescence, there was a sense of shame about the act being carried out, which translated into wanting to finish as soon as possible.

Similarly, the lack of privacy and the fear of being discovered have also caused many men to develop this problem.

Whether you believe this is the root of your issue or not, here are some tips for how to masturbate from now on and avoid premature ejaculation:

1. Choose the place and time

A quiet place where you know no one will bother you for the time you need is essential for your masturbatory practices from now on.

2. Control the pace

Start stimulating yourself slowly and without any rush. Each time you feel ejaculation approaching, stop for a few seconds until the reflex subsides and then resume the process.

3. Set goals

You don’t need to set distant and complicated objectives. For example, you can start by trying to last 3 minutes and gradually increase the duration.

Over time, you should be able to withstand 20 to 30 minutes of masturbation. However, for this, you’ll need other exercises that I’ll reveal later on.

4. Avoid pornography

Porn is the easiest way we have to stimulate ourselves. In fact, it’s available to everyone thanks to the internet.

However, it won’t be helpful in solving your problem because, on one hand, it shows you voluptuous women who, most of the time, don’t exist in real life, and on the other, it teaches you a distorted sexual practice.

Keep in mind that those videos are edited in a studio and that those actors can ejaculate multiple times during the recording of the scene. In short, remember that nothing you see is real.

How to stop premature ejaculation by taking care of your body

Another key point to consider is eliminating the consumption of harmful substances in your daily life if you want to avoid premature ejaculation.

Tobacco

In fact, tobacco is the first thing you should give up. As countless studies have revealed, smoking is directly related to premature ejaculation due to various substances contained in cigarettes.

Alcohol

On the other hand, you might think that alcohol, by slowing down your reflexes, could be helpful, but that’s a myth. In fact, all you will do is store harmful substances in your body and even give rise to other issues as serious or worse, such as erectile dysfunction.

And in case you didn’t know, more than half of sexual encounters that start in a state of intoxication don’t end up finishing due to the inability to achieve or maintain an erection.

Exercise

I also need to tell you that, from now on, you should go outside to exercise every day. It doesn’t matter whether you like to run, cycle, or lift weights at the gym.

The point is that dedicating an hour of your time each day to doing sports and eliminating sedentary habits from your life will greatly benefit your body in delaying premature ejaculation.

This is especially important if you have a job where you spend many hours sitting.

Talking with your partner

Trust between individuals who are sexually active is fundamental to dealing with premature ejaculation.

In fact, my advice is that, if you don’t have a partner, you should avoid one-night stands for a while. You’re going to need time to regain your confidence.

If you do have a partner, talk to her. You’ll be surprised by the progress you’ll make just by sitting down and having a conversation with your partner. Simply by talking, you’ll feel better and together, you can correct those bad habits that lead to premature ejaculation.

For example, you can delay penetration as long as possible or, when you do penetrate, stop if you feel you’re about to orgasm and continue with other types of practices.

If you ejaculate, it’s okay. On one hand, achieving orgasm for your partner should be one of every man’s goals, but it shouldn’t become an obsession.

In fact, the purpose of any sexual relationship is for both parties to enjoy equally. Moreover, where is it written that the moment men achieve orgasm, the encounter ends?

At that moment, men may not be able to continue with penetration, but they will not have trouble finding ways to please their partner in other ways.

How to stop premature ejaculation with sexual positions

The position in which you have sexual intercourse with your partner is much more important than you might imagine. Therefore, it’s important to open new horizons and be willing to try new things.

For example, your partner may feel very comfortable while you’re practicing the missionary position with her. However, when it comes to getting rid of premature ejaculation, this is one of the worst positions as it requires a great deal of effort to sustain.

Most of the time, this results in an orgasm that comes too soon due to the inability to hold it back.

My advice is to try to convince your partner to have sex in positions that are comfortable for both of you and in which, preferably, you can maintain control.

For example:

  • You lying on the bed or sitting on the sofa and her straddling you is a good position. Although she will have the control, you can guide her with your hands. Plus, you’ll have gravity on your side.
  • The doggy-style position, that is, with her supporting herself on her knees and hands on the surface and you penetrating her from behind… is not only very pleasurable but also one of the best I know for delaying ejaculation. In this position, you will have absolute control of the pace.

These were some tips to cure premature ejaculation naturally. However… it’s not all you need to do.

Natural Treatment with Kegel Exercises

Earlier, I mentioned that it was important to exercise for premature ejaculation. Specifically, I was referring to exercises like swimming, running, or biking.

However, there are specific exercises for the genital area that will greatly help you control your orgasms and control your pelvic floor. These are the Kegel exercises.

The pubococcygeus muscle, to avoid technical terms that may not be very useful to you, is responsible for semen expulsion during orgasm, that is, ejaculation. And it’s located in the pelvic floor. Due to the complexity of its name, from now on I’m going to call it the PC muscle.

Ejaculation occurs through a reflex sent by our brain at a certain point during sexual intercourse, which is usually tied to the moment when we reach peak arousal. The root of your problem lies there, you already know that.

But controlling the function of the PC muscle will help prevent ejaculation, which means you can continue to have intercourse for a longer period.

Locating the PC muscle in your pelvic floor is very easy. Specifically, all you have to do is place your fingers on the perineum, that is, the area of skin between your testicles and your anus, while urinating or ejaculating. You’ll feel it contract.

The most useful activity to strengthen the muscles down there is commonly called Kegel exercises, in honor of their discoverer, Arnold Kegel. Doing them is extremely easy.

You can do them anywhere, although my advice is to find a comfortable chair and sit on it with your legs slightly apart and your back completely straight.

Next, what you should do is contract this muscle, which is done by the same mechanism as when you want to stop the flow of urine while urinating.

It may seem easy, but if the PC muscle is very weak, you’ll tire. Therefore, start by doing sets of 10 repetitions every 5 minutes and, as you feel stronger, increase the number.

I warn you that in the first few days you may experience discomfort in the area in the form of soreness.

Premature ejaculation can be controlled with medications

What medications are recommended by doctors to control premature ejaculation? They often recommend oral medications and topical anesthesia.

Some of the oral medications include type 5 phosphodiesterase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, and serotonin agonists.

Type 5 Phosphodiesterase Inhibitors

These medications are commonly used to treat premature ejaculation. Some of these inhibitors include sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), and vardenafil (Levitra).

Tricyclic Antidepressants

Some of these antidepressants include amitriptyline, clomipramine, and desipramine.

Serotonin Agonists

Some of these serotonin agonists include dapoxetine and fluoxetine.

Topical Anesthesia

Topical anesthesia is also used during intercourse to treat premature ejaculation. Some of these topical anesthetics include lidocaine, benzocaine, prilocaine, and tetracaine.

How is it used? A small amount of topical anesthetic is applied to the penis just before having intercourse.

Psychological Counseling

Psychological counseling can help you better manage your emotions and reduce stress.

It involves regular sessions with a trained therapist. Usually, 10-12 sessions are required to achieve the best results.

The Stop and Squeeze Technique or Compression Technique

This technique involves stopping sexual activity just before ejaculation is about to occur. Then, the penis must be squeezed for 3-5 seconds.

This should be done several times to prevent ejaculation. After five or six repetitions, sexual activity can be resumed.

If done correctly, this technique can help delay ejaculation up to a minute, which doesn’t seem like a lot to me.

Surgery for Premature Ejaculation

Surgery is rarely used to treat premature ejaculation. Surgery is generally reserved for those men who do not respond to other treatments.

The surgery may include a procedure called suspensory ligament of the penis suspension.

In this procedure, a needle is used to cut the suspensory ligament of the penis. This allows the penis to move freely and, therefore, ejaculation can be better controlled.
